DISCOGRAPHY
In December of 2011, Indiana Boys went into Farm Fresh Studio in Unionville, IN (near Bloomington) to begin their first studio album titled "Muddy Boots."
"Muddy Boots" is composed of original material by Indiana Boys and one cover tune. A unique blend of original music, mixed with the runs and funs of traditional American sound, makes this album delightful to listen to. You can hear influences like John Prine, Bob Dylan, & Johnny Cash in the sound of "Muddy Boots." With special guests Mike Lindeau & Laura Wanner you get more than the Indiana Boys. Mike has lived the life of the archetypal pickin' & grinnin' bluegrass wanderer of the Bill Monroe & Ralph Stanley canon he cut his teeth on. The airtight fiddler with the easy laugh has traveled extensively, moving here after living off the grid in the Ozarks for 12 years. He has played fiddle for many years and finds special resonance in Southern Indiana, as he comes from a long line of old-time & country musicians who've "left an indelible imprint" on the musical landscape in this area for the last 70+ years. Laura is considered the "Wall of Sound" in the Vallures, which is the group you can regularly find her in. They bring new life to girl group era Motown, Rock, Soul, Rhythm and Blues, with new twists and all the energy and creativity of the originals. Laura's warm back up vocals on "Long Hard Road" bring out the emotion in the track. Both Mike & Laura were a treat to have in the studio, and we look forward to seeing them again! This style of music has been called "Gravel Road" tunes. Heard around the campfire, next to a flowing stream, & in the middle of Little Nashville. We would like to thank Betsy & James Oblack for their support in the making of this album. |
